A model in Mumbai has filed a rape and molestation case against nine individuals from the Hindi film industry, at Bandra police station in May. Since then, she claims she has been receiving ominous messages on her social media. She went on to say that in the unfortunate instance, before the conclusion of the case, if something happens to her, the accused should be held responsible.

She has said to have faced many hurdles in her endeavour to file a complaint. She took three weeks to get the FIR registered against Colston Julian, Anirban Blah, Jackky Bhagnani and Krishan Kumar. In the FIR registered on May 26, others named include Nikhil Kamat, Sheel Gupta, Ajit Thakur, Gurjot Singh and Vishnu Induri. In her conversation with a morning daily, she has claimed to be stalked by fake social media accounts of the accused. When she apprised the investigating officer of the situation, he advised her to visit her nearest police station and register another case in regards to the same. However, she is unwilling to do so, since it took her weeks to register the earlier case and no action has been taken to date. She went on to elaborate that one of the accused, Anirban Blah's anticipatory bail was rejected on 5 July, but he hasn't been brought behind bars yet. What she also brought to light was that she was compelled to delete some of her social media accounts owing to the harassment.

Assistant Police Inspector Sagar Nikam, the investigating officer, said that Blah's bail was rejected because the application of the accused was rejected by the police. Before arriving at the conclusion, all angles are being explored, he said. He further added that Blah isn't in the city and is supposedly near Hyderabad and he has been sent a notice via email. Furthermore, statements of the five accused in the case have been registered. The investigating teams have not only visited the spots mentioned by the model in her statement but have recovered CCTV footage and statements of over 20 individuals.

Another senior official said that owing to the virus, teams aren't being sent to other cities since the offence occurred a while ago. The police have been requesting the model to cooperate with them in the due course of the investigation.
