Mumbai police have arrested Navnath Chikhle, a YouTuber, after he defrauded a 32-year-old woman from Kalyan. Chikhle took about INR 47.50 lakh and blocked her.

It started when the victim was looking for a potential life partner through the matrimonial website Shadi.com. She encountered Chikhle, who cunningly portrayed himself as a wealthy man ready for marriage. The couple soon began talking on the matrimony website.

Chikhle then manipulated the woman into a sexual relationship. He also promised to marry her. Later, he allegedly talked about losses in his business and asked for financial assistance from the woman. He started requesting large sums of money for various purposes. He started with a luxurious flat for their future together.

Falling victim to Chikhle's fraud, the woman mortgaged her precious gold jewelry to gather approximately INR 47.50 lakh, handing it over to him. However, Chikhle ceased all communication.

The Mumbai police have charged him with violating sections 376 (rape) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code. Moreover, the police are now investigating the possibility that Chikhle may have victimised other women using the same deceptive tactics.

On October 10, 2022, Chikhle had released his most famous track called, "Girlfriend nahi mujhe biwi chahiye." This catchy song went viral on the internet, receiving over 2.2 million views on YouTube.
