Mumbai’s Kamala Mills’ fire tragedy raised an alarm in the city, raising questions on BMC. Based on the Mumbai Fire Department’s report on the Kamala Mills fire, the Mumbai Police have arrested the owner of Mojo’s Bistro, Yug K Pathak, for culpable homicide. Police had received the investigation report from the fire department on Saturday stating that the fire broke out at Mojo’s Bistro.

Officials from the N M Joshi Marg police station confirmed that Pathak’s arrest, and will be produced before a court soon. The other partner in question, Tulli, has been summoned.

The police had registered four cases, three of which involved violating the Town Planning Act. Police also confirmed that Mojo’s Bristo has now been booked under culpable homicide.

Owned by Tirupati Restaurants and Cafe Pvt Ltd, Mojo’s Bistro was registered with the Registrar of Companies, last year, under two directors –Yug Tuli and Yug Pathak. The latter is a son of retired IPS officer KK Pathak who was earlier a commissioner for Pune and Nagpur.
