In a latest development in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, a team of Haryana police arrived in Maharashtra and questioned Santosh Jadhav, a shooter in the case of Punjabi singer’s murder and Siddhesh Kamble alias Mahakal about gangster Vikram Brar, an official stated on Tuesday, June 14.

Brar, who is currently believed to be abroad, Mahakal and Jadhav are members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. If reports are to be believed, Mahakal and Jadhav, who belong to Pune, are the key conspirator in Moose Wala’s murder, officials stated.

However, after the Maharashtra Police claimed that the two were involved in the high-profile murder, the Punjab Police are probing their role.

According to reports, the team led by a deputy superintendent of police had reached Pune in Maharashtra on Monday, June 13, after Jadhav’s arrest in a murder case on Sunday.

Earlier, a team had also interrogated Jadhav’s aide Siddhesh Kamble, alias Mahakal, who was arrested in Pune last week.

Meanwhile, Bishnoi is currently in the Delhi Police special cell custody and is said to be the mastermind behind the killing of Moosewala, officials earlier said.

Jadhav was nabbed from Gujarat in a 2021 murder case registered at Manchar police station in Pune, they had said. Mahakal was arrested in a MCOCA case registered against him at the Manchar police station here.

For those unversed, Singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Punjab's Mansa district on May 29. The incident took place a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab police among 424 others.
