The body of a four-year-old girl who went missing from Antop Hill has been found in the sea in Colaba and it has been revealed that she was strangled to death. A case of kidnapping of the girl was registered at Antop Hill police station in this case. It has been revealed that the stepfather killed her due to a family dispute, as well as anger over her daughter's asking for a mobile phone, and he has been taken into custody by the police.
The body of Amyra Sheikh (4) was found in the sea some distance from Sassoon Dock. Local fisherman Gopi Dhanu spotted the body and pulled it out with the help of a boat and brought it to the shore. The information was also given to the local Colaba police. Accordingly, a police team reached the spot.
They took the body into custody and took it to St. George Hospital. Police learned that the girl was strangled to death there and her body was then thrown into the sea. Initially, the Colaba police had registered a case of unnatural death in this case. Further investigation revealed that the deceased girl had gone missing from the Antop Hill area.
In this case, the police have arrested the girl's stepfather Imran Sheikh. The girl's mother Nazia was previously divorced and married Imran. Amyra also lived with her mother at Imran's house. She also used to call him Abbu. Imran did not like that.
She also used to take Imran's mobile to play video games, and would stay up all night playing video games. Imran was angry with this. In anger, the accused took her to South Mumbai on a two-wheeler. There, he strangled her to death and then threw her body into the water. Deputy Commissioner (Zone-4) R. Ragasudha informed that the accused father has been taken into custody in this case.

Imran very calmly returned home after killing the girl. He had even gone to the police station with his wife to file a complaint that the girl was missing. But after finding the girl's body, he switched off his mobile and ran away.
Both Imran and Nazia are divorced and Nazia has four children. Amyra was one of them. Nazia used to work as a security guard in a private company. Imran was unemployed, so he used to stay at home. The police are investigating the matter further.
