An incident has come to light that a 38-year-old woman thrashed a five-year-old girl with an iron rod for hiding a pet cat. A complaint has been lodged with the police after the girl informed about the incident. According to the police, the incident took place at Govandi on Thursday. A woman living in the Shivaji Nagar area of Govandi in Mumbai has been arrested as per the report by Indian Express.
What exactly happened?
The parents of the five-year-old girl have been living in Govandi for the past three months. A 38-year-old woman lives next to them. The woman beat the five-year-old girl and hit her with an iron rod for hiding her cat. The name of this woman is Nishad Sheikh. Losing her cat upset her. After that, she beat the five-year-old girl and slapped her, police said.

What else did the police say?
A woman named Nishad Sheikh was upset because she was not able to locate her pet cat. She asked the five-year-old girl about her pet cat but the girl refused to say anything. Following which, the woman allegedly assaulted her and she hit her right leg. After this incident, a five-year-old girl was admitted to Shatabdi Hospital. Her condition is now stable and she has been discharged from the hospital.
