Mumbai: Woman commits suicide by jumping from seventh floor

A 53-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of a building due to constant illness in Mulund area. The woman is a native of Pune and had come to her sister's house for treatment. The woman was suffering from diabetes for the past 27 years. As the family did not raise any suspicion, the Mulund police registered a case of accidental death in this case.


Sunita Vijay Yewle (53) was a native of Daund, Pune and was to be admitted to JJ Hospital for treatment. For the same, she had come down at her sister's house in Mulund.

Mulund police have registered a case of accidental death in this case. The statements of the woman's sister, husband and son have been recorded. The woman was suffering from high blood sugar for 27 years. Two years ago, she suffered a heart attack. She was also suffering from an eye disease. The woman was brought to Mumbai for treatment of an eye disease. However, prior to the appointment, she ended her life, informed the police.

The family has not raised any suspicion against anyone. Police have registered a case of an accidental death. Mulund police are conducting further investigation into the matter.
