Salman Khan-starrer ‘Radhe’, was to release on Eid 2020. The same could not happen due the pandemic. Then the makers had announced a theaterical release this Eid. However, the second wave and the lockdown that followed dampened those plans as well.

However, the makers decided to go with the partial success of a multiple platform experiment at a time when Bollywood has suffered massive losses amid closure of cinema screens due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per this hybrid model, users could watch Radhe on Zee’s digital platforms in India and in theatres across the world.

On the day of the release, Zee's servers crashed hours after the film’s release. Its spokesperson later said in a statement that  4.2 million views of the film were recorded on the opening day. It has been a week since the movie has been out and it has managed to garner 9.9 million views. As per reports, the four-day weekend helped the movie gain the said number of views and it is expected to go up in the coming few days.

In terms of box office collections, the India collections are not significant as there were only a handful of states that could host the movie at this time. However, the business of Radhe: You Most Wanted Bhai has been good in UAE. As the film’s release coincided with Eid holidays in Dubai, it helped in boosting the business. According to a report by Box Office India, This Salman Khan starrrer has earned around $1.875 million (app Rs 13.7 crore) in the first week.

This Eid blockbuster also stars Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the movie can be viewed on ZEE5 on its pay per view service ZEEPlex. Zeeplex is also available on DTH platforms like Dish, D2H, Tata Sky and Airtel Digital TV.

While the business of the movie is being talked about it got poor reviews. Its rating of IMDB at the time of writing this story was just 1.7.
