The Higher and Technical Education Department has directed the State Common Entrance Test Cell to resume the admission process that was earlier canceled in March, following the decision of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to discontinue the four-year integrated B.A./B.Sc.-B.Ed. course from the next academic year. Accordingly, students will be able to apply for the entrance examination for this course from June 2, 2025.
The National Council for Teacher Education has decided to discontinue the four-year BA/BSc-BEd (Integrated) course under the Department of Higher and Technical Education from the academic year 2025-26 and implement a 4-year Integrated Teacher Training Course (ITEP) instead. Therefore, the centralized registration process started by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) was closed on March 9.
However, the National Council for Teacher Education decided to discontinue the four-year B.A./B.Sc-B.Ed (Integrated) course in 2026-27 instead of 2025-26. Accordingly, the Department of Higher and Technical Education has ordered the CET Cell to implement the admission process for the four-year BA/BSc-BEd (Integrated) course for the academic year 2025-26.
Accordingly, the application registration process for the pre-entrance exam for this course has been started by the CET department. Students can apply till June 15. The exam will be conducted on July 20.
