Exam hall tickets are essential for identifying students appearing for examinations. However, students appearing for an exam in Bandra were shocked to find swear words printed on their hall tickets. Instead of the details they had filled in on the application form, abusive words appeared in the name field. Students have also alleged that despite raising complaints last week, some of them were still not allowed to appear for the exam.

What exactly happened?
Students noticed incorrect and abusive text appearing in place of their names on the hall ticket application. They complained to the administration last week and were told the issue would be resolved by Monday. However, even on the day of the exam, the same incorrect details appeared. One student told the media that some of his friends were denied entry to the exam because of these incorrect details.

What do students say?
Some students claimed that after the confusion began, the college administration shut down the MIS (Management Information System). The system had still not been restored even late on Monday, leading many students to worry that they might miss their exam due to a technical glitch and that is exactly what happened.

Director of the Directorate of Technical Education, Pramod Naik, has sought an explanation from the college principal. He clarified that the college is autonomous, and therefore, the responsibility for conducting examinations and issuing hall tickets lies entirely with the institution, not with the board.

Meanwhile, the college principal, Nitiket Mahale, did not respond despite attempts to contact him for comment. The report was first published by Hindustan Times.
