Government extends deadline for the submission of certificates for UG and PG admissions in the state

State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant mentioned that the deadline has been revised to January 20, 2021, and no more extension will be given by the state. Failing to submit the documents will lead to disqualification from round one.

Maharashtra State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant, on Monday, January 18, 2021, informed that the deadline for submission of required certificates for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions has been extended till January 20, 2021. The decision was taken after continuous requests were made by students and parents. 

However, he also clarified that the extension would not be repeated again. and the applicants will have to submit their EWS Original Certificate, NCL Original Certificate, Original Caste Verification Certificate (CVC) as well on or before January 20.

Several students and parents shared that they were facing difficulties with the same and hence the need for extension was made.

Adding more, Samant stated that the students and parents should note that this extension is final and no more time will be granted, and this will be the last chance given to all the candidates from undergraduate and postgraduate courses to submit original certificates online.

Failing to do the same until 05.00 pm on 20th January 2021 will lead to candidate disqualification from the first round, post which they will only be eligible for the second round from the open category. This extension is being given to the candidates who have submitted the receipt of the application for the above three certificates while applying online.

Moreover, the next revised schedule will be published on the website of the State Common Entrance Test (CET) www.mahacet.org after January 18, 2021.
