The seventh special and final round of admission for class 11 admission for students who have passed the 10th supplementary examination, ATKT and are still deprived of admission is starting from 10 am on Wednesday, October 11. The education department has clarified that the admission process of class XI is almost over and this is the last chance for students to get admission.

Under the seventh special and final round of admission, students can fill new registration, change in application form, first part of the admission form related to personal information and second part of the college preference form till Friday, October 13 (up to 6 pm). So after filling the second application of the college preference order, the application is to be locked till 10 pm on October 13.

After that, the 7th special and final admission list of 11th admission will be announced online on Monday, October 16 at 10 am. Students who have got a college under the seventh special admission round will be required to confirm their admission from Monday, October 16 (from 10 am) to Tuesday, October 17 (to 6 pm). The admissions for under-quota and dual focus courses will be held during the same period.

Meanwhile, 2,696 students were eligible for the 92,950 seats available in junior colleges of Mumbai metropolitan area for the sixth special central admission round of class XI. Out of them 2,120 students were given college and 1,756 students got admission in respective junior colleges. One student's application was rejected for various reasons, while two students cancelled their admission. Still 91,194 central admission seats are vacant and 576 students who applied under the sixth special central admission round are still waiting for admission.


Under the academic year 2023-24, as the seventh special admission round is the final round of eleventh admission, admissions cannot be cancelled by students or junior colleges. At the same time, the education department has clarified that there will be no 'First Come, First Serve' (FCFS) round this year. The 7th special and final admission round of 11th admission is being conducted for the students who have passed the 10th supplementary examination, ATKT and are still deprived of admission. While filling the application form, students of ATKT have to mention the total marks out of 600 obtained in six subjects.

This year, as many as 2 lakh 89 thousand 718 students from Mumbai metropolitan area had registered for class eleventh admission. 2 lakh 65 thousand 659 (91.07 percent) of the students who applied for the central admission process and quota seats have been confirmed so far. So still a total of 24 thousand 59 students are waiting for admission. Even after the sixth special admission round, a total of 1 lakh 22 thousand 816 (31.61 percent) seats are vacant for class 11 admission in junior colleges in the Mumbai metropolitan area. Out of these, 91 thousand 194 seats of central admission, while 31 thousand 622 seats are still vacant under institutional, minority and management quota.
