The SSC examinations are considered as an important landmark in a student’s life. The examinations are important for students as well as their parents who tend to keep a check on how their child’s preparation is going. Therefore, the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has decided to make the details of the teachers teaching the SSC available online.

MSBSHSE has ordered all the schools to update the contacts of their teachers online. However, the decision has sparked the debate among the teachers about whether the decision is right or not. The teachers pointed out that their details so easily available on the internet can be dangerous for their privacy.

The details will consist of information about the teachers’ qualifications, experience, etc. The students and parents will also be able to know about who checked the answer sheets. The initiative has been started by the education department to introduce transparency between the school and the parents about the child’s education.

Accordingly, the school is required to produce a report annually. Earlier, the schools were exempted from providing the details on the ‘SARAL’ system but now they have been asked to submit the details to the state education board.
