The question of security of children going to schools came under scrutiny after the murder of a seven-year-old boy in a Gurugram school.

On the backdrop students’ security, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has written to all the government and private schools and colleges in the state. After the recent cases, he decided to address the situation and write a letter.

There is a question mark about the security of the students. The government does not take any concrete steps in this regard and if this situation is to be resolved, a strong statement needs to be made.

I consider every child in Maharashtra as my own child. Similarly, if teachers, non-teaching staff of the school or college consider the students to be the same, nothing can go wrong with their security.

He has also urged that if the authorities need any kind of help, he would be ready to help them.
