The Maharashtra State Public Service Commission (MPSC) state pre-service examination which was to be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021, has now been postponed again. 

As per reports, the test has been postponed due to increased risk of coronavirus in the state. This is the fifth time the exam has been postponed in a year and a half, and following instructions from the state government's disaster management department, the administration has decided to postpone the state service pre-examination again.

A press release was released in this regard by the Joint Secretary of the State Public Service Commission on Thursday, March 11, 2201, whereby the commission was informed on March 10 by the state government's Disaster Management Division, Relief and Rehabilitation Department. 

COVID-19 prevalence has increased in the state and as a result, restrictions are being imposed in many districts. Keeping the same in mind, the exam is being postponed and it is also said that a new date will be issued soon for the examination.

Meanwhile, after the Supreme Court adjourned the Maratha reservation, the demand for postponing the MPSC exams was gaining momentum, post which, the Thackeray government had taken a big decision to postpone the examination to be held on October 11, 2020. At that time, the Chief Minister had made it clear that no student would be disqualified as the examination was postponed.
