Mumbai University, this year, will be conducting its annual convocation on November 26, 2019. This means that this year's convocation ceremony will be conducted two months earlier than the usual schedule.

Majority of the results this year have been declared as per schedule making it easier for the concerned officials to take a call and conduct the annual convocation ceremony earlier than scheduled.

The idea behind holding the convocation prior to the schedule is to ensure that it turns out to be beneficial for the students who are unable to attend their graduation after they move out of the city for higher education and employment.

Previously, Twitter was flooded with memes after Mumbai University showed a glimpse of how their new convocation attire will look like. A picture of a professor wearing the attire surfaced online and in no time, Twitteratis got their 'meme material'. The attire included a traditional Peshwa turban and a similar Peshwai kurta.

In the meantime, the whole graduation will be live-streamed on Mumbai University's official website. A list of degree and diploma certificates along with convocation numbers will be made available to the students on the website. Graduating students from the respective colleges can use their numbers.

According to a statement released by the university, in case the students have not yet received their convocation certificate or are required to report any kind of errors, the same must be done within a month from the date of the convocation.
