The State Education Department is all set to revamp its inspection process. The department recently released a draft which stated that from the academic year 2019-2020, the schools will be inspected thrice every year as compared to once in a year. Schools have to fill their inspection details in the Unified District Information on School Education (UDISE) system.

However, even when the inspection took place once every year, the data was not shown appropriately on UDISE. Every year, after the inspection, the authorities were not able to conduct a follow-up and the results had deteriorated. Therefore now the inspection will be held thrice a year which will ensure that the schools implement the suggestions on improvement accordingly.
For the academic year 2019-2020, the first visit is scheduled to be conducted in October-November, followed by the second visit in December-January, and the third in February-March. The suggestion has been implemented to adhere to the norms that are laid down by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and improve the School Education Quality Index (SEQI).
