After the procedure of securing admission in third merit list for FYJC got over, several students’ admission is still pending. A total of 54,727 were enlisted on the third merit list but only 21,213 secured their admissions. On the other hand, the students that did not get their name on any merit list are awaiting admission.

Thus, the government has decided to issue a special round for students that haven’t still secured admissions after the fourth merit list is issued.

Around 50 per cent students secured admissions in the third merit list and a total of 1,09,644 students have secured admissions in all the three merit lists combined. This year, many students achieved more than 80 per cent in Class X and still did not get admission in the third merit list. Out of the 1,17,234 students that had applied for the third merit list, 54,727 were enlisted.

So far, 2,40,000 students had applied and 1,09,644 students managed to get admission. So, the students that could not secure admission in first, second and third merit list or were not able to get admission in the first preference college, can apply for the fourth list. The students will be able to change college preferences on August 3 and 4.
