Borivali- IC colony's 'Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church' , one of the oldest churches in the city, built in 1547, is well known among the Christian community.
Father Martis was the one who took care of the church and was the first one to build an orphanage. Here, poor children are given shelter and are also schooled from the nursery level to the 12th grade. The school fees are lesser as compared to other schools. A college has also been built on the premises as the church continues with its tradition of imparting education to the poor and needy.
