Kalina - Bhoomipujan of Dr Rammanohar Tripathi Hindi Bhasha Bhavan has performed three years ago in Kalina Campus. District Planning and Development Council were paid a sum of Rs 2 crore for the development of Hindi Bhavan. The varsity has utilised only Rs 2.5 lakhs till date and the non-utilisation of the amount has forced collector to serve a notice to university in regard to the matter.
"The university always complains of lack of funds. But when they have money at their disposal, they don't use it. It seems that the current government and the university administration doesn't care about Hindi and Urdu. One should treat all languages equally," said Anil Galgali, RTI Activist.
Galgali has written the letter to Governor seeking probe against Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Deshmukh and Former Vice-Chancellor Dr Rajan Welukar.
