After two successful seasons of Box Cricket League tinsel town’s czarina Ekta Kapoor is back with the season three of BCL. This season is to be launched in the month February on popular youth channel MTV and promises to be more bold and real. “We are hoping to give you a spectacular new age absolutely today’s reality stars, some of the most popular fiction actors and also what is called the most unbelievable is BCL series”, said Ekta while interacting with us at the launch party.

Box Cricket League will air for two hours and will show the reality of the actors like how they talk, speak or argue with each other. “BCL is a unisex game where people are in a competitive space and viewers get entertained by watching the actual behind the scenes conversation of the team members," averred the producer.

Earlier the Box Cricket League was aired on popular GEC’s like Sony TV and Colors, but this time keeping in mind the audience who is going to watch the content, the makers have decided to air it on a youth channel. Elaborating more about the partnership with the channel the Balaji supremo shared, “Our audience is either going to watch it on a digital platform or on a youth channel like MTV. Non-fiction audience will never be available at 4:30 even at the best case scenarios. Secondly, we were looking at a time where digital consumption is huge. Therefore, our base is perfect as we would be live on MTV, VOOT, and ALTBalaji.”

Ekta said that she is either angry, agitated or involved in whatever stuff she does. She is obsessed with BCL from past three years as she wants her actors to be a part of this in-house brand. This season of BCL will have 10 teams- Mumbai Tigers, Chennai Swaggers, Pune Anmol Ratn, Chandigarh Cubs, Kolkata Babu Moshayes, Jaipur Raj Joshiley, Delhi Dragons, The Ahmedabad Express and Lucknow Nawabs.
