Mumbai - Limca Book of record acknowledged tree plantation where 2 crores 81 lakh 38 thousand 634 trees were planted. This tree plantation event was led by Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantivar on 1st July which was held across the Maharashtra. Within 12 hours 2 crore 81 lakh 38 thousand 634 trees were planted. This was done with the help of private companies, NGOS. Limca book of record also acknowledged the tree plantation of 6 lakh 14 thousand 482 which were of different types at 674 paces.
Meanwhile, Sudhir Mungantiwar was also awarded 'Man of the Year' award by Junior Chamber of International Marine Lines. Elated Sudhir Mungantiwar announced 50 crore tree plantation in nest 3 years.
