According to the latest reports, for another day, above normal temperatures were registered in Mumbai, with night temperatures also being over the normal.
It has been reported the minimum temperature recorded on Sunday, April 24, was the second-highest in 10 years at 27.8 degrees.
Based on accounts, on Sunday, April 24, the IMD Colaba observatory saw a maximum temperature of 34 degrees which was 1.2 degrees over the normal. Similarly, the IMD Santacruz observatory saw a maximum temperature of 35.5 degrees which is 2.2 degrees over normal.
Weather officials have reportedly added that the temperatures are anticipated to be near the same range. On the other hand, the night temperatures registered on Sunday were on the higher side with the IMD Santacruz recording a minimum temperature of 27.8 degrees Celsius.
Likewise, the IMD Colaba saw a minimum temperature of 27.4 degrees Celsius. The 27.8 degrees Celsius night temperature was reportedly the second-highest in a decade.
Moreover, the relative humidity seen by the IMD Colaba and Santacruz observatory was 75 per cent and 71 per cent, respectively. The all-time highest maximum temperature in Mumbai for April was 42.2 degrees Celsius which was seen on April 14, 1952.
In other developments, the India Meteorological Department has forecasted heatwaves over Madhya Maharashtra on April 27 and 28.

In accordance with the IMD forecast for Monday April 25, Mumbai’s Santacruz observatory registered maximum temperatures of 35.5 degrees Celsius, while that of Colaba was 34.0 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 24.4 degrees Celsius and 25.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
