Usually, when November sets foot in Mumbai, the city begins experiencing relatively cool winds. However, this year, even after the first week passed, Mumbaikars were facing the "October heat". But now, the citizens finally have received some relief as Tuesday and Wednesday mornings witnessed a drop in temperature, which also marked the beginning of winter in the city.

Within the last 24 hours, the city has seen a descent in the temperature by three degrees, due to which, Mumbai residents witnessed chilly evenings and mornings, last two days. The chilly atmosphere is said to be an aftermath of the snowfall in Kashmir.

Thus, in the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature is expected to remain at 32 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is said to drop to 19 degree Celsius.

One of the major reasons for the cold weather is also stated due to coastal winds arriving from the Konkan region. However, winter is expected to reach its peak by December and thus, by then, the weather is expected to gradually grow pleasantly cold. Meanwhile, the weather forecast has indicated that the temperature will witness a two-degree drop in the upcoming two days.
