Mumbai witnesses a temperature drop on Monday, pleasant days ahead
SHARES

It is only March and the days have become painfully hot here in Mumbai. However, if the India Meteorological Department (IMD) is to be believed then Monday could turn out to be a pleasant day for Mumbaikars. The maximum temperature on Monday will remain on the lower side and there would also be pleasant winds blowing.

As per the IMD, the maximum temperature at Santacruz will be 29.5 degrees Celcius while that in Colaba will be 29 degrees. The minimum temperature, on the other hand, will be 17.6 degree Celsius and in Colaba it will be 19.6 degree Celsius.

As per the weather reports, the sky will be partly cloudy and the level of humidity is pegged at 73 per cent.

From an air quality index (AQI) point of view too, Monday is turning out to be a good day as the value of PM2.5 pollutants in the air on Monday morning was 103, which falls under the Moderate category.

The last few days have been exceptionally hot for Mumbaikars. In the month of February, the maximum temperature recorded had touched 38 degree Celsius. Even in the month of March, there have been instances when the maximum temperature recorded has been above 30 degrees Celcius. After the long monsoon and a delayed winter, people were hoping for a pleasant Feb and March but so far it has been painstakingly hot. Hopefully, with the pleasant breeze that is blowing it will become a little easier to bear.

As per the predictions, the maximum temperature will continue to hover in the range of 28 to 29 degrees Celcius for the rest of the week. However, from Saturday the temperature will again start to increase and be around 33 or 34 degrees Celcius.
