Mumbaikars are tired of the humidity due to the sudden rains in the evening time and the heat throughout the day. Both Santacruz and Colaba centres recorded above average temperatures on Monday. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the heat will remain high in Mumbai for the next two days.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius at the Meteorological Department's Colaba centre and 34.4 degrees Celsius at the Santacruz centre on Monday. Temperatures at both centres were recorded one degree higher than Sunday. The weather department has predicted that the temperature will remain between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius for the next two days. At present the minimum temperature is below average. Light to moderate rain is forecast for the next two days. Light rain is expected in Mumbai, Palghar district on Tuesday and rain with thunder in Thane district. The intensity of rain will subside in most parts of the state from Thursday. Cyclone Dana will form in the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday. The cyclone will move near the coast of Odisha and West Bengal on Thursday, Friday.
