Skymet weather has predicted that there will be rainfall in Mumbai, Thane and Konkan region. In regions like Dahanu, Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri, rain showers can be accompanied by lightning.
The southern coast of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh along with the eastern coast West Bengal and Odisha have been threatened by the danger of 'Fani' cyclone.

As stated in skymet weather, extremely severe cyclone Fani over West-central Bay of Bengal has been gaining strength and continuously moving closer to the coast. It is now ready to make landfall on the Odisha coast by the afternoon of May 3.
At present, it's located near latitude 15.5°N and longitude 84.2°E, about 430 km southwest of Puri, Odisha, 210 km southeast of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and 630 km south-southwest of Digha, West Bengal.
