Once again, the monsoon hit Mumbai on Saturday which had gone missing on weekdays. The rain which began pouring on Friday night continues to fall. Areas such as Vasai, Virar, Nallasopara, Palghar reported water-logging incidents.

Likewise, Bandra, Andheri, Dombivli, Dadar, Thane, Mulund observed good amount of rainfall. In Mumbai, Santacruz observatory recorded 15.08 mm rainfall while Colaba observatory recorded 10.04 mm rainfall.

As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), in the next 24 hours, there will be heavy rainfall in North Konkan as well as in Mumbai. From June 26, the intensity of the rainfall might increase, according to IMD officials.

Until now, Mumbai and suburban areas witnessed good rainfall. Likewise, between June 24 to June 27, city will witness 30 to 40 mm rainfall,” Mahesh Palawat, Skymetweather.
