Bombay Natural History Society's (BNHS) 20 pairs of vultures from Pinjore in Haryana will be taken to Vidarbha. BNHS has taken the initiative to release these vultures in Tadoba, Pench, Andhari and Melghat Tiger Reserves in Vidarbha.

Vultures do the job of keeping the surroundings clean. However, the number of vultures is rapidly decreasing and the cycle of biodiversity is being disrupted. To increase the number of vultures, BNHS has set up breeding centres in Haryana and Bhopal. 20 pairs of vultures from Haryana's Pinjore centre will be released into their natural habitat in Vidarbha. These 20 pairs have not been selected yet. The vultures will be selected after the transfer date is fixed.
