The Indian Railways has decided to run 367 additional train journeys this year to facilitate travel across the Konkan region briefly and other parts of Maharashtra for the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi 2025, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed.
The Maharashtra government had requested the Railway Minister and the Indian Railways to run more trains for the convenience of Ganesh devotees.
“Mumbaikars with roots in Konkan, as well as other residents of the state, travel in large numbers during Ganeshotsav. The additional 367 train services will ensure smooth travel and provide great relief to devotees across Maharashtra,” Fadnavis said while addressing the media.
Giving this information, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on behalf of all the Ganesh devotees of the state.
