Keeping up with the needs of the changing times, Jhama Sweets, has now started an online store. Established in the 1950s by the late Jhamamal Lulla. Jhama sweets has a legacy of its own. After 60 years, Jhama Sweets has expanded its services to 9 distinct locations. Their pillars stand strong on the hard work and eagerness of delivering “never ending sweetness” put in by the various generations of the Lulla family who have been taking the brand from strength to strength.

After so many years of the retail stores, Jhama Sweets launched a digital segment to their brand to satisfy their customers all around the globe. With the demand in various places other than Bombay, there was a need to reach out to customers from other parts of the country.

Going digital was a process in itself and to top that, whilst they were planning their online business, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic took place. The brand believes that at a time like this while practising social distancing, one should also be able to binge on their favourite delicacies. They maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation and take all precautionary measures to ensure the wellness of their customers. A cherry on top is their special packaging which is only available online.

White Barfi, Doube Decker Barfi, Green Pista Barfi, Mango Barfi, Balushahi and Gulab Jamun are some of the bestsellers from the store.

Rishay Lulla, Owner of Jhama Sweets says, “We first thought of the preservation and freshness of our products. While they are made with the highest quality of ingredients, they are also perishable. We proceeded with ordering a packaging machine from Germany that uses MAP (Modified Atmosphere Technology). This allows us to drastically increase the shelf life of our products, while maintaining our quality standards, without using any preservatives. So now, our customers can enjoy our delicacies at the comfort of their own homes.”
