Konkani-Malwani fair begins at Jogeshwari

Jogeshwari East – Minister of State for housing and local MLA, Ravindra Waikar, has organised the ‘Konkani-Malwani Fair’ at Shyam Nagar water tank here. The inauguration of the 10-day long fair was held on 5th November. Waikar has been organising the fair from last 25 years. Besides cultural programmes, there are a large number of Konkani-Malwani food stalls catering to the tastes of food lovers. Over 150 stalls, including that of women’s self-help groups (SHGs) from villages in the Konkan region have been installed in the fair. Waikar has appealed Mumbaikars to visit the fair in large numbers.
