Mira Bhayandar records 33 new COVID-19 cases on December 23

Mira-Bhayandar reported 33 new COVID-19 cases taking the tally up to 25,168 on Wednesday, December 23. According to Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC), 33 people have completely recovered in the last 24 hours. No death has been registered in Mira-Bhayandar. So far, 24,051 have a complete recovery. The death toll stands at 781.

Out of these new cases, nine cases is from Bhayandar East, five from Bhayandar West and 19 from Mira Road have been reported.

On Wednesday, 25 new cases were found in Belapur, 15 in Nerul, four in Vashi, nine in Turbhe, 14 in Koparkhairane, 15 in Ghansoli, eight in Airoli and three in Digha

While, the recovered patients are 19 from Belapur, 16 from Nerul, 17 from Vashi, nine from Turbhe, five from Koparkhairane, two from Ghansoli, eight from Airoli and five from Digha.

On Wednesday, December 23, Maharashtra recorded 3,913 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 19,06317. Currently, there are 54,573 active cases in the state. With 7,620 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 18.01,700.

With the outbreak of the coronavirus, 93 people have lost their lives a total of 48,969 people in the state have died owing to the contagious disease. While 4,88,723 persons are under home quarantine, 3,420 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 94.51 per cent, and 2.57 per cent respectively. 1,22,78,476 tests have been conducted in Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, India reported 24,712 new cases, 29,791 recoveries and 312 deaths taking the tally up to 1,01,23,778 on Wednesday, December 23. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 96,93,173 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,46,756 in the country. At present, there are 2,83,849 active cases. According to the ICMR, 16,53,08,366 samples have been tested up to December 23.
