Panvel reported 60 new COVID-19 cases; 1 death

On Sunday (November 22), 60 new COVID-19 cases were found in Panvel Municipal Area while 38 patients were recovered and discharged from the hospital.

Panvel reported 60 COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday (November 22) taking its tally up to 24,832 while 38 patients made a complete recovery and were discharged from the hospital. With this, the total number of people that have recovered reached 23,798. Also, one death was reported on Sunday from Kalamboli and with this, the total death toll climbed to 571. At present, there are 463 active patients of coronavirus in Panvel Municipal Corporation.

Among the new cases found in Panvel municipal area are 14 from Panvel, two from New Panvel, three from Khanda Colony, four from Kalamboli, 15 from Kamothe, 21 from Kharghar and one from Taloja.

The recovered patients include four from Panvel, 11 from New Panvel, 14 from Kalamboli, 16 from Kamothe, 18 from Kharghar and two from Taloja.

Maharashtra reported 5,753 new COVID-19 cases, 4,060 recoveries and 50 deaths on Sunday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 17,80,208. There are 81,512 active cases in the state and 16,51,064 patients have recovered so far. The death toll is at 46,623.

While addressing the state Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday (November 22) said, "I have opened temples I request citizens to avoid the crowd. The second wave has hit other states don't give a chance to come on Maharashtra by lack of awareness. Everything cannot be done by imposing the restrictions." Chief Minister tweeted saying, "I would like to thank you all for your cooperation in not bursting crackers during Diwali and celebrating it in a disciplined manner like all other festivals."

Meanwhile, in India 45,209 new COVID-19 cases were found talking the tally up to 90,95,807 on Sunday (November 22). While the overall cases include 4,40,962 active cases and 85,21,617 recoveries in the country. With 501 new deaths talking the death toll in the country 1,33,227.
