Navi Mumbai reported 68 COVID-19 cases on Thursday (December 17) talking the tally up to 49,935. While 47,890 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, two deaths have been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,024. At present 1,021 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 95 per cent.
On Thursday, 13 new cases were found in Belapur, 19 in Nerul, nine in Vashi, three in Turbhe, five in Koparkhairane, nine in Ghansoli and 10 in Airoli.
Talking about the recovered patients,18 of them are from Belapur, 18 from Nerul, seven from Vashi, nine from Turbhe, six from Koparkhairane, 10 from Ghansoli, 13 from Airoli and seven from Digha.
Maharashtra reported 3,880 new COVID-19 cases, 4,358 recoveries and 65 deaths on Thursday (December 17), taking the total number of cases in the state to 18,84,773. There are 60,905 active cases in the state and 17,74,255 patients have recovered so far. The death toll is at 48,499 in Maharashtra.
The states recovery rate is 94.14 per cent, while the mortality rate is 2.57 per cent. Currently, 4,033 people are institutional quarantine and 5,06,914 are home quarantine.
Meanwhile, India reported 22,889 new COVID-19 cases, 31,087 recoveries and 338 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the tally up to 99,79,447 according to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday (December 17). While in total 95,20,827 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,44,789 in the country. At present, there are 3,13,831 active cases. According to the ICMR, 15,89,18,646 samples have been tested up to December 17.
