On Monday, November 15, Maharashtra logged 686 new COVID-19 cases which took the number of active cases to 11,943, stated reports. Moreover, 19 fatalities were also registered that caused the aggregate number of fatalities to rise to 1,40,602. 

On the other hand, 912 patients were discharged, which took the number to 64,68,791. With these numbers, the recovery rate in Maharashtra is 97.64 per cent. Additionally, the case fatality rate in the state is 2.12 per cent.

Presently, the number of patients in home quarantine is 99,859, whilst 1,016 individuals are in institutional quarantine. The Mumbai region entails MCGM, Thane, TMC, Navi Mumbai, Ulhasnagar MC, KDMC, Bhivandi Nijampur MC, Mira Bhayandar MC, Palghar, Vasai Virar MC, Panvel MC, Raigad registered 316 new cases. 

According to the data released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in the Greater Mumbai area, 184 patients tested positive on Monday. The number of positive patients who recovered and were thus discharged was 225. With this, the total number of active patients in the city is 2775. 

Four fatalities were reported in the city, all of whom had comorbidities. The recovery rate of Mumbai is 97 per cent, while the overall growth rate of COVID-19 cases from November 8 to 14 is 0.03 per cent. Based on the containment measures taken on November 14, there are no active containment zones in the city.
