Keeping in view the outbreak of infectious diseases in the state, the state government has decided to radically change the paramedical curriculum. Accordingly, it has been decided to start Nursing Course College (BSc Nursing) in government colleges of the state. Colleges with a capacity of 100 students will be started in hospitals in seven districts of the state. Soon 700 seats of B.Sc Nursing course will increase in the state.


The state government has decided to start new nursing colleges in the state to provide better treatment to the patients coming to the government hospitals. 100 seats of B.Sc Nursing course will be made available in each of these colleges.

Soon 700 seats of nursing course will increase in the state. These seats will be increased in the districts of Jalgaon, Latur, Baramati, Sangli (Miraj), Kolhapur, Nandurbar and Gondia. New Nursing Colleges are being started in Nandurbar and Gondia Medical Colleges under the Nursing Education Scheme of the Central Government. For the government nursing degree colleges to be started in these 7 districts, about INR 206.85 cr will be provided for the first four years and from the fifth year INR 16.34 cr.
