Last week, BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal held a marathon meeting with all ward municipal commissioners, deputy commissioners, chief officers among others and directed to adhere to strict action against violators for not wearing a facemask.

In the said meeting civic commissioner has asked to register cases against people under the Epidemic Act for violating the Covid protocol.

Moreover, the civic body has appealed to all the citizens to wear masks, maintain social distancing and wash hands to ensure that we don’t let COVID-19 get the better of Mumbai, said BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal.
