There has been an increase in the infestation of mice in the surgery theatre of VN Desai Hospital in Vile Parle of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Therefore, there is a possibility that the patients will die due to bacterial infection. Considering this dire situation, some employees working in the operating room have written a complaint to the hospital administration and requested to take appropriate measures to prevent the infestation of mice in the operating room.
A hospital operating theatre is a very sensitive department. The surgical department must be kept clean, hygienic and sterile. However, as the infestation of mice is increasing in the surgery room, it is proving harmful to the patients, expressed medical officials.
When contacted Dr. Harbhajan Singh Bawa, Medical Superintendent of VN Desai Hospital, he said that no such complaint has come to us. He said that if something like this happens, it will be immediately noticed and action will be taken.
