Almost 100 villagers have been affected by the poisoning incident, with some being discharged after receiving primary treatment while others remain hospitalized. The condition of two of the affected individuals is critical, and they have been admitted to the Civil Hospital of Nashik for further treatment.

Health administration takes serious notice

The health administration has taken the poisoning incident seriously and has taken samples of the Mahaprasad for examination. However, due to the public holiday on Good Friday, medical officers were not available at the Barhe and Thangaon health centers, causing difficulties in treating the affected individuals. The health system responded immediately after being contacted by various villagers.

Question from Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse

Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse has been in contact with the situation and has directed all systems to provide all possible help to the affected villagers. The district surgeon, Ashok Thorat, has been instructed to inspect the spot where the Mahaprasad was distributed to identify the source of the contamination.

This incident has raised concerns about food safety measures and the quality of prasad served at events. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to identify the source of the contamination and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The health administration and government officials are working together to provide necessary support and help to the affected villagers.
