Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has tested positive for Coronavirus. She announced the same on her Twitter handle and also informed that she has retreated into self-quarantine at her home.

On Thursday, Pednekar revealed that her Rapid Antigen test was positive but she is asymptomatic. She also mentioned that she is following doctors' advice and has self-quarantined herself She appealed to all who came in contact with me to take care of themselves.

Furthermore, as a precautionary measure, all members of her family have also undergone Covid-19 tests, she added.

Pednekar took over as the 7th woman Mayor of the country's commercial capital in Nov. 2019. She expressed hope that with the prayers and blessings of everybody, she would soon bounce back to serve the people of Mumbai.

In the month of August, Pednekar had lost his brother to novel coronavirus. At that time, she had penned an emotional poem dedicated to her late brother.

On June 29, 2020, Mayor of Mumbai, Kishori Pednekar was admitted at Saifee Hospital after she complained of weakness and pain. She was admitted in the afternoon on Monday and reports state that she has been suffering the pain for the last few days.
