As soon as the monsoon starts, epidemic diseases like gastro, diarrhoea, leptospirosis as well as insect diseases like malaria and dengue start to rise. Contaminated water supply session has been going on in Navi Mumbai city since April. Therefore, gastro patients are increasing this year. A total of 101 patients have been found since January, 23 in June and 9 in July.


Water leaks can lead to germs in contaminated water. Doctors have said that water is contaminated, if it enters the stomach, it causes gastro infection. Navi Mumbai city has been getting contaminated water supply two to three times a week since April. If there is no water for one day, then for the next two days there is green muddy water. Therefore, the citizens are often shocked by the contaminated water supply. Apart from that, epidemic diseases are also increasing.

There has been an increase in gastro patients due to contaminated water. Fever, diarrhoea, vomiting, symptoms of dehydration, cold hands and feet, dry skin are found in the diseases of gastro, diarrhoea, diarrhea. 23 gastro patients have been found in June and 9 patients have been found so far in July. Since January, 288 dengue cases have been detected and 23 suspected dengue cases in July.
