Mumbai - The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is a body set up by the state government, responsible for the infrastructure development of Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The body was set up on 26 January 1975. It is also the richest state-owned organisation in India.

On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of MMRDA, a programme was organised on Thursday in Sanmukhanand Hall. On the occasion, MMRDA Commissioner UPS Madan declared that employees who work on holidays will be given a hike of 30 per cent in their pay. He added that 455 new posts have been created at the MMRDA thanks of the Metro-4 scheme. During the programme, a Marathi play, written by Devendra Pem, 'All the Best - 2' was staged.
