Central Railway (CR)’s Mumbai Division has taken positive steps towards providing better amenities and facilities to its esteemed passengers.
Contracts have been invited / awarded through e-auction for the following:
Provision of Air-conditioned Dormitories and Retiring Rooms at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT):
Contract has been awarded through e-auction for Development, Upgradation, Operation and Management of Air-conditioned Dormitories and Retiring Rooms at LTT station on the “Upgrade, Operate and Transfer” basis.
The cost of upgradation, maintenance and other incidental expenses will be borne by the licensee. The licensee may also provide in house pantry services to the occupants / users.
The facility will be restricted to bonafide railway passengers and the occupants / users will be permitted to store their luggage too.
The total contract value is INR 3.18 Crore and the annual license fees will be INR 63.64 lakhs.
It will be a 5 years contract from May 29, 2024 to May 28, 2029.
Provision of ATMs at suburban stations:
Provision of ATMs at suburban stations is another desirable passenger amenity to improve customer satisfaction and interface process.
In an attempt to widen the policy ambit of permission to set up ATMs by Public Sector Banks / Scheduled Commercial Banks / Co-operative Banks etc.,
Mumbai Division has invited interested parties to bid for allotment of space for installation of ATMs at Parel, Bhandup, Nahur and Kalwa stations for a period of 5 years.
These ATMs will cover a space of 36 sq feet.
The estimated total contract value is INR 2.07 Crore and total annual earnings from these stations will be INR 41.45 lakhs.
Advertising on Food trays in Vande Bharat Trains:
Contract has also been awarded through e-auction for advertisement on the rear side of the Food / Snack tray at each seat of Chair Car Coaches (excluding EC Coaches) of Train no 22229/22230 CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Vande Bharat Express for a period of 3 years from 29.2.2024 to 27.2.2027.
The total contract value is INR 30 lakhs and the annual earning is INR 10 lakhs.
Similar contracts have also been awarded earlier for Train no 22223/22224 CSMT-Sainagar Shirdi-CSMT Vande Bharat Express, Train no 22225/22226 CSMT-Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express and Train no 22119/22120 CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Tejas Express from September 7, 2023 to September 8, 2024.
E-AUCTION is an innovative new online system of allotting commercial earning contract tenders, through which online auctions are conducted immediately. Bidders have to register in IREPS portal of the railways in order to bid in the E-AUCTION Module. Results and LOA (Letter of allocation) to successful bidder will be declared online on same day of auction.
