The work of Dombivli-Mankoli flyover is nearing completion and the bridge will be inaugurated by the end of May said by MP Dr. Srikant Shinde. Due to this bridge, it will be possible to reach Thane from Dombivli in just 20 minutes, so the citizens will get great relief.

To exit from Dombivli West, motorists currently have to take the Kalyan or Mumbra Bypass via Kalyan Shil via Dombivli East. Driving around the entire city takes one and a half to two hours. Due to this, there is a demand to complete the work of the bridge as soon as possible and provide relief to the motorists. The bridge is being constructed near Mankoli, six km before Rajnoli towards Thane. Thanks to this bridge, Thane-Dombivli distance will be reduced to just 20 minutes.

As the widening of Thane to Bhinwadi road is also going on fast, motorists can travel from Dombivli to Thane without the traffic jam. The MMRDA aims to complete the work of this bridge in the shortest possible time and open it for traffic.

In 2013, a 1225 meter long and 27.5 meter wide bridge was proposed over the Ulhas River from Dombivli, Madgaon to Mankoli in Bhiwadi to create an alternative transport system in the city. Due to land acquisition and other problems for this bridge, the Bhoomipujan of this bridge had to wait till 18 September 2016. Later, though the work of this bridge started, the process of land acquisition became a hurdle.
