A massive fire broke out at Mumbai Metro, the Executive Hotel in Andheri's Saki Naka area on Sunday morning, March 14. As soon as the fire was reported, five fire engines and three jumbo water tankers reached the spot immediately. According to fire brigade officials, it took almost two hours to douse the fire.

The incident took place at 11:45 am, however, the blaze was extinguished at 2:25 pm. 

Meanwhile, an ambulance was also pressed into action. However, no injuries or casualties were reported. 

Moreover, earlier last week, a power loom factory was gutted in a devastating fire in the wee hours of Friday, March 5, in Bhiwandi town in Thane district of Maharashtra, an official said. An official said that no casualty was reported in the incident, however, the factory was totally destroyed.

In another incident that occurred, three people were injured after a fire broke out in a shop in Mumbai. The incident took place at around 10:37 a.m. at a store located in New India Market at Khairani Road, near Rehmani Hotel in the Sakinaka area of Mumbai
