MUMBAI - To keep a check on the corruption and make the plot allotment process transparent, state industries initiated the process of allotment to be online. "For small scale industries 20% plot shall be fixed," said Subhash Desai, Minister For Industries. Under Make In India Initiative launched by Central Government, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) over 2606 agreements have been done, out of which 2459 belong to industries. As per the stats, it is expected that 30.4 lakhs people shall be employed under this scheme. While 21,404 people will be benefitted under 262 agreements. The state government has taken a decision of encouraging small & medium scale industries as 45% employment is generated by these two sectors.
