Looking at the popularity and growing demand by the commuters, WR has decided to increase the number of AC local services over Mumbai Suburban section.
For more comfort and a better travel experience, two brand new M/s Medha AC rakes are all set for passenger services under Mumbai Central Division, Western Railway. The two rakes will add 17 new AC services with effect from November 6, 2023.
With the introduction of 17 new AC services, the total number of AC services will now increase from 79 to 96.

These services will run as AC services from Monday to Friday and as non-AC on Saturday and Sunday. The zonal railway has also extended the services of AC local from Dahanu Road to Churchgate station. Till now the train used to run between Dahanu Road and Andheri stations.
Moreover, Central Railway (CR) has also introduced 10 AC local services by replacing non-AC services with effect from November 6, 2023. Out of these 10 AC services, there will be 1 in the morning peak and 1 in the evening peak hours.
