The Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project of CIDCO will gain an impetus as the Corporation has floated the tenders for the development works of roads, footpaths, S.W. Drains etc. proposed under TPS- 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 and the development works will commence very soon.

“NAINA is an ambitious project in the urban planning sector of the state. As the NAINA project is being implemented through the TPS, CIDCO endeavours for the speedy implementation of every TPS and the development works proposed under TPS. Tenders for the development works under TPS-2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 have been floated and the development to be undertaken on the land included under these schemes will commence very soon. Also the work of a bridge near Devad village connecting NAINA with New Panvel is in final stage", said Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, CIDCO.

CIDCO is developing NAINA, a well-planned city equipped with ultra-modern facilities on an area of 371 sq. km. around the Navi Mumbai International Airport for preventing the haphazard growth of this area. The NAINA project is being implemented through total 12 Town Planning Schemes (TPS) for its speedy and effective implementation. The TPS is based on the principle of ‘participation of land owners’. The infrastructure facilities under the scheme will be developed by CIDCO.

The government has approved final TPS- 1 and 2 and preliminary TPS-3. The draft TPS-4, 5, 6 and 7 have been received an approval of government and the government has appointed an arbitrator for the further proceeding of TPS.

CIDCO has recently floated the tenders for the development works of development of roads up to stage-I, footpaths and S. W. drains under TPS-2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and improvement of roads up to stage-I, footpaths and S. W. drains under TPS-7. The tender process will be conducted with a transparent online method and the development works will be on fast-track after completion of the tender process.
