The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had terminated the services of a contractor who had repaired the St. Andrews Road in a shoddy manner. The same road in Bandra is set to be repaired again. The condition of the road has been in a bad condition since the contractor had repaired it in 2018.

The popular road goes from Bandra's hill road to St. Dominic Road. It is also one of the main connectors for the motorists coming from Bandra and Khar and headed to the Worli sea link. Currently, the road is half done in asphalt while another portion is in paver blocks.

The locals have also been complaining of water-logging in the area. Asif Zakaria, Bandra corporator, said that he had written a letter to the BMC additional commissioner in 2019 wherein he mentioned that the improvement of the road had to be done in cement concrete with the footpath. They must also lay down the storm water drains. The locals were also demanding for the road to be done holistically rather than just resurfacing it.

Zakaria said that St. Andrews Road and Dominic road are very busy as the area has educational institutions. Activist Zoru Bhathena was surprised when he found the road in the list of the roads to be repaired since the authorities had re-laid the road multiple times.
